Training
There are a lot of different ways to increase the abilities of your Neopet. There are
two training schools, certain neggs have the power to increase your pets' abilities, as
well as quests and random events! There are a couple of key areas that you can train
your pet in: - level, level is important it basically dictates how strong your pet
can be because abilities cannot be rated more than double that of your pet's level, for
example: if your pets' level is 7 you cannot raise any of your pets' abilities above 14.
- strength, this is a pretty obvious one, the stronger your pet the more damage
they'll be able to inflict in the Battledome
- defence, increases the effectiveness of defensive weapons and also mitigates
the amount of damage your opponent can inflict in the Battledome
- agility / movement, at present this ability doesn't have any affect in the
Battledome, but just to be safe train your pet up in case one day it does!
- endurance, I have a suspicion that this stat does nothing useful!

Swashbuckling Academy:
Only pets with a level between 1 and 40 can train at The Academy. Courses here are paid
for with Dubloons (DEAD
LINK), which tend to be a bit cheaper than
Codestones (DEAD LINK), which are used to pay for courses at the Training School. The
main difference between the two schools (apart from the maximum level pet they will train)
is the amount of time it takes to complete a course. Generally speaking though, it's a
good idea to train at The Academy while it is cheaper for your pets to do so!

Mystery Island Training School:
Only pets with a level between 1 and 250 can train at the Mystery Island Training School,
which is fairly inclusive and the majority of pets will fit into this category! Courses
at the Training School are paid for using
Codestones (DEAD LINK), as your pets' level increases you'll need to pay more
codestones (DEAD LINK)
for each training course. Pets with a level between 1 and 20 only have to pay 1
codestone (DEAD LINK) per course but pets with a level between 201 and 250 have to
pay 8 codestones (DEAD LINK),
the amount of time it takes to compete a course also increase with the pets' level.
Secret Ninja Training School:
Once your pet has grown too strong to train with the Techo Master it is strong enough to
train at this secret school. This is where you use those funky
red codestones (DEAD LINK) if you've been wondering!

Items:
There are a selection of items that can raise your pets stats, but they are often REALLY
expensive. However, when your pet is level 300-and-something and the training is already
really expensive the usual ways some of these items may actually save you neopoints!
